Dr. Moka Lantum - Managing Partner

Managing Partner, Microclinic Technologies (Ashoka Fellow; IPIHP/SEAD Fellow)

Dr. Lantum is co-founder of MicroClinic Technologies, a Nairobi based company, commercializing  ZiDi, Africa's first enterprise health management solution for BoP clinics/hospitals provided as a hardware-software utility service through partnerships with both public and private institutions across Africa. As a social entrepreneur, he is committed to also create youth employment opportunities in Health IT and improve last mile access to safe affordable drugs.

Dr. Lantum has over 20 years experience in health delivery and health care management with multiple executive roles in a Fortune 500 health-related manufacturing company. He was director of business process improvement for a $6 billion New York-based health insurance company, prior to founding MicroClinic Technologies.

Dr. Lantum obtained his Doctor of Medicine training at Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaoundé, Cameroon; a Diploma in Nutrition and International Child Health, from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden; a doctorate in Pharmacology, from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. He is a graduate of the Masters in Health Care Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. He was inducted as an Ashoka Fellow in 2014 and recently into the IPIHD/SEAD network at Duke University. He is recipient of numerous international awards, including the 2014 Sankalp Award.


Dr. Lynne J. Davidson, MPA, Ph.D. - Partner

Dr. Davidson has over 25 years of experience in academic administration, political science and international development. She joined MicroClinic Technologies in 2012, after consulting independently with numerous large and small programs for international development organizations with a focus on Microfinance.

Dr. Davidson's academic career includes serving as deputy to the president, vice provost, and assistant professor of health services research at the University of Rochester. Prior to her 20-year career in academia, she held numerous positions with federal agencies focused on equity and health policy. Dr. Davidson holds a BA, Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University; an MPA, Domestic Policy Analysis from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, and an MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Rochester.

Rick Seigrist, MBA, former President and CEO of HealthShare Technology & Patient Flow Technology, SVP WebMD, CEO and currently CIO of Press Ganey and Associates, and Academic Director of the Masters in Health Care Management Program Harvard School of Public Health.

Michael E. Brown, MD, MS, MHCM, is the Chief Information Officer at Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) where he oversees the university health service information system department. HUHS has completed a transition of its ambulatory medical record to an electronic medical record system, and he is working within his organization to take full advantage of the new technologies. The EMR system that was originally developed at HUHS is now at use in over 130 other universities. Dr. Brown has a B.S. in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, M.S. (Cell Biology) and an M.D. from New York University. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, performed a two-year research fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, and earned a masters in health care management from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Robert Befidi, Jr., MBA, is a 15-year veteran in ICT enterprise management in a diverse set of industries, including health care, with an extensive background in general management, business re-engineering, systems architecture and integration, corporate valuation, and private equity. Mr. Befidi holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, a MS in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Computer Science from Winona State University.

Mike McCourt, MBA, is part of Nokia Location & Commerce's solutions sales team where he works closely with developer and technology partners to build complete mobile solutions. Prior to joining Nokia, Mr. McCourt served as VP Wireless Business Development at InfoSpace, Inc. Mr. McCourt holds an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Washington University.
